How do I become a Squaremen..?

Before I get too involved in this subject I want it to be understood that whilst this information is relevant to Buchan Shed #4, it might be different for other Sheds.

As you are probably aware by now most organisations or bodies that are attached in one way or another to Freemasonry admission is made either by:

Invitation from an existing member
Asking an existing member.

The Squaremen operate in a slightly different manner, oh sure you can be invited to join, and yup you're well within your rights to ask about joining, but at Buchan Shed as long as you can prove yourself to be a Mark Master and are in good standing, you can if you want just walk in the door and ask to be put through. There is of course the small question of the joining fee, but its not expensive and as you are probably already aware all profits from the Shed are given out to charitable causes at the A.G.M in September every year.

Chances are that by the time Buchan Shed gets round to visiting a Lodge near you someone will have probably have spoken to you about it. Of course it is always worth keeping in mind that you can join at any Lodge, you don't have to wait till the Shed visits your Lodge.
